From \u20ac80.00 only certified check.<\/p>\n Required documents<\/strong> *Mandatory for non-EU citizens; An Authorized Vehicle Driver is any natural person who meets all the following requirements: Any person who is not expressly mentioned\/identified in the Rental Contract is not authorized to drive the Vehicle.<\/p>\n Likewise, any person who does not carry the valid identification documents mentioned in sections 2a) and 2b).<\/p>\n Allowing an unauthorized person to drive implies a breach of the \u201cT&C\u201d and liability for any consequences arising therefrom, including the possibility of being liable to PineRent4U for damage caused or caused by the unauthorized person.<\/p>\n In such circumstances, neither the renter nor the unauthorized driver will be covered by any insurance or protection product offered through PineRent4U, except for compulsory civil liability insurance. You can rent a passenger car and must drive it according to its intended purpose, as follows:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n When you rent a vehicle from PineRent4U, or any Driver, you must comply with the following obligations:<\/p>\n During the Rental Period, you must take all necessary protective measures to keep the Vehicle in the same condition as it was delivered to you. In particular, you and\/or any Driver must carry out regular checks on the condition of the Vehicle with regard to oil levels, water levels and tire pressure. You may be held liable to PineRent4U for damages resulting from breach of any of the aforementioned obligations. Please note that failure to comply with any of the above obligations will also render ineffective and inapplicable any limitations or exclusions of liability to which you may be entitled under optional insurance or other protection products.<\/p>\n PineRent4U also reserves the right to demand the immediate return of the Vehicle. The basic rental price includes the following mobility services:<\/p>\n Mobility Services<\/strong><\/p>\n \u221a – Vehicle travel assistance *<\/p>\n \u221a – Motor Civil Liability Insurance<\/p>\n \u221a – Unlimited Kilometers<\/p>\n *Includes removal of the damaged vehicle, transportation of beneficiaries to the rental station and replacement vehicle. Does not include incidents caused by driver negligence. To cover this type of occurrence, you can subscribe to the Extra Travel Assistance service. The information you provide to PineRent4U at the time of booking (such as the length of the rental, your age or the age of the additional Driver) will change the amount payable. Any change to this information may therefore change the price. The rental price will be the one in force at the time of booking or at the time you make any subsequent changes to it.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Such services and costs include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n When you pick up the Vehicle from PineRent4U, you will be asked to sign an additional document to the Rental Agreement describing the condition of the Vehicle at that time.<\/p>\n If you notice any apparent anomaly or Damage that is not described in the Rental Agreement, you must ensure that this is mentioned in the document and that both the renter and the PineRent4U representative sign the change. If nothing is mentioned, the Vehicle is deemed to have been delivered to you in the condition referred to in the Rental Agreement or in the additional document. You will be charged for any new Damages that are verified by you and the PineRent4U representative when the Vehicle is inspected by both parties upon its return.<\/p>\n If you identify pre-existing damage to the rental that has not been included in the description of the condition of the Vehicle, and you do not find a PineRent4U representative on site, you may report it to PineRent4U within 12 hours of leaving the station. You must return the Vehicle to the PineRent4U station on the date and at the time indicated in the Rental Agreement. If you wish to return the vehicle to another personalized location, please consult the \u201cTariff of Additional Services and Costs\u201d attached to your confirmation email. If you made the reservation by remote means, this document can be consulted at the stations or on the PineRent4U website.<\/p>\n The Rental Period ends when you return the Vehicle to the PineRent4U station and hand over the Vehicle key and documents to a PineRent4U representative.<\/p>\n If you return the Vehicle before the date mentioned in the Rental Agreement, you will not be entitled to any refund.<\/p>\n When you return the Vehicle to PineRent4U you must inspect it together with the PineRent4U representative and sign the post-hire damage report. PineRent4U recommends that the Vehicle be returned during station opening hours. However, in order to meet specific customer needs, PineRent4U offers the additional service \u201cDelivery and collection outside normal opening hours\u201d.<\/p>\n If you opt for this service, a PinRent4you representative will go to the vehicle’s collection point to follow up on the process.<\/p>\n You must declare any incident and\/or damage affecting the condition of the vehicle on the document given to you for this purpose at the start of the rental.<\/p>\n Please note that your Rental Agreement does not end when you hand over the keys. PineRent4U recommends that you park the Car in the company car park and in such a way that it does not cause danger to others or disturb traffic, complying with the Highway Code. You should also leave the vehicle’s documents in the glove compartment.<\/p>\n PineRent4U recommends that you take photographs, as proof of the condition of the vehicle, at the time of parking and before handing over the keys.<\/p>\n After the inspection has been carried out and in the absence of any Damage, PineRent4U will send the Declaration of Return of the Vehicle In the event that it is not possible and\/or you refuse to inspect the Vehicle with PineRent4U’s representative, the latter is authorized to inspect it without your presence and to record your refusal to the contrary. In the event that the Vehicle is not returned on the date mentioned in the Rental Agreement and if within 24 hours there is no information justifying the delay in return, PineRent4U reserves the right to:<\/p>\n Please note that in this case, the protections, optional insurances and additional services contracted will be null and void. This clause governs liability for damages to the vehicle and forms an integral part of the rental agreement entered into between Drive Terceira and the renter.<\/p>\n All pre-existing damages to the vehicle at the time of pickup are duly recorded in the Damage Report attached to the agreement. Any additional damages identified upon return of the vehicle shall be assessed by a Drive Terceira staff member, preferably in the presence of the renter.<\/p>\n Damages deemed minor in nature \u2014 which do not compromise the drivability, safety, or roadworthiness of the vehicle, such as superficial scratches, minor dents, or broken mirrors \u2014 may be charged directly by Drive Terceira, based on reasonable market values.<\/p>\n More serious damages, namely those which require immobilization of the vehicle, or which affect its safety, structural integrity or functionality, shall be assessed by an authorized partner workshop. The resulting repair estimate will be sent to the renter for acknowledgment and subsequent payment.<\/p>\n By signing this agreement, the renter acknowledges and accepts the above procedures regarding the assessment and potential charging of vehicle damages.<\/p>\n In the event that you dispute the Damages and\/or the respective invoicing by refusing to sign the Vehicle Return Declaration, PineRent4U will apply the procedure described below in (12b).<\/p>\n In the event that the Damage is identified as part of the inspection of the Vehicle carried out by the PineRent4U representative without your presence, PineRent4U will send the following documents:<\/p>\n You may contest the Damages identified and the respective billing within (14) fourteen calendar days of the documents being sent, by email to info@pinerent4u.com, or by letter to Rua Cristiano Fraz\u00e3o Pacheco, n38 9500-680, Ponta Delgada. In the event of non-contestation within the aforementioned 14-day period, PineRent4U reserves the right to charge you for said costs.<\/p>\n Please note that, depending on the Damage suffered by the Vehicle and the type of protection you have subscribed to with PineRent4U, check the Insurance and Coverage Tariff attached to Your confirmation email or available on the website or at any PineRent4U station, you may or may not be charged for the full amount of the repair cost.<\/p>\n In any case, You may contest the Damages and\/or the respective invoicing, under the terms referred to in paragraph b, without prejudice to always being able to claim from the competent jurisdictional means (Clause 23) \u201cCase of dispute related to the rental\u201d). During the rental you must take all the necessary protective measures to keep the Vehicle in the same condition as it was delivered to you.<\/p>\n You should pay attention to any warning signal from the instrument panel lights and take the necessary safety measures.<\/p>\n The Vehicle is supplied with tires in the number and condition that meet the requirements of the Highway Code. Should any of them suffer damage, beyond normal wear and tear, from latent defects or force majeure, you will be obliged to immediately replace them, at your expense, with a tire of the same size, type and brand.<\/p>\n Any modification or mechanical intervention to the Vehicle without the prior written authorization of PineRent4U is prohibited. If you violate this rule, you will have to bear the costs of restoring the Vehicle to the condition in which it was delivered to you and you will be liable to PineRent4U for any damages arising from the violation of the above conditions regarding maintenance obligations.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The invoice will be issued as soon as all the elements of the Rental have been completed and no earlier than the day after the Vehicle is returned.<\/p>\n Any additional fees or costs will be charged when you return the Vehicle (if they can be calculated at the time).<\/p>\n If you have incurred extra costs, such as fines and\/or Damage to the Vehicle identified, without your presence, PineRent4U will charge them, together with the respective administrative costs (for managing the fines and damage management processes) later, when it becomes aware of them.<\/p>\n In this case, you will have 15 working days from the date on which the notification of the charge was sent to object and\/or justify that you are not responsible for the management costs. You can do so by email to info@pinerent4u.com, or by letter to Rua Cristiano Fraz\u00e3o Pacheco, n38, 9500-680 Ponta Delgada. If you do not object within the period mentioned, you will be charged for the administrative costs.<\/p>\n The invoice will be sent electronically to the email address you have provided for this purpose. If you do not wish to receive the invoice electronically, you can choose to receive it on paper.<\/p>\n In the event that the payment date indicated on the invoice falls due, you expressly agree that:<\/p>\n In the event that the Rental Agreement is signed under a Commercial Agreement, the respective company will be responsible for paying the invoice. You may change your reservation free of charge, provided that you notify PineRent4U of such changes at least 48 hours before the rental is due to start.<\/p>\n Please note that if you change your booking, new rental prices may apply and you should always use the same communication channel you used when booking the car. Alternatively, you can call our Call Center, number: + 351 910 306\u00a0015.<\/p>\n For all intents and purposes, cancellation of the reservation or failure to pick up the Vehicle due to causes of force majeure – such as acts of war, hostilities, civil commotions, accidents, strikes, lock-outs or other labor conflicts, embargoes, government decisions, restrictions on circulation, imports or exports, or any other cause or circumstance beyond the direct or indirect control of PineRent4U – will not give rise to any liability on the part of the company, nor to the payment of compensation, although it may be analyzed on a case-by-case basis for possible issuance of credit or rescheduling of the reservation. If you wish to extend the Rental Period provided for in the Rental Contract, please proceed as follows:<\/p>\n If you do not comply with the above steps and you keep the Vehicle, the provisions of clause 11 d): \u201cDelay in returning the Vehicle\u201d shall apply. The rules applicable to fueling and refueling depend on the type of rental you choose. Please check the applicable fuel rules for each rental you make.<\/p>\n All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of gasoline or diesel. When returning the vehicle, the following situations may occur:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n When you pick up the Vehicle, allow a credit and\/or debit card authorization for a deposit. The deposit is intended to cover the cost of the rental, additional costs and\/or other inherent costs.<\/p>\n If you did not prepay at the time of booking, the cost of the rental will also be blocked on your credit card. In this case, the amount blocked will correspond to the cost of the rental and the value of the excess according to the insurance contracted. In any case, the final amount of the deposit is specified in the confirmation email sent to you at the time of booking and in the Rental Agreement. Please note that in the event of pre-payment, if you make any purchases over the counter, the amount will be added to the amount of the deposit. If no additional rental costs are identified, the deposit will be refunded within the period agreed between the renter and the bank.<\/p>\n The deposit must be made by the renter or an additional driver, duly identified, in the Rental Contract and must present the same credit\/debit card indicated at the time of booking or another in the name of the renter or an additional driver.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n If you are a foreign renter holding a Visa or MasterCard credit card (in a currency other than the Euro) you can benefit from the exchange rate for the currency of your card when paying for the rental. In this case, PineRent4U will ensure the currency conversion, using an exchange rate based on the index mentioned on the purchase slip.<\/p>\n If, for any technical reason, PineRent4U is unable to provide this service or if a VISA or MasterCard holder chooses to pay in Euros, the conversion to the card’s currency will be made in accordance with your bank’s conditions.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n PineRent4U may use any personal information you have provided, including the data of any Authorized Driver, for the purpose of providing the rental services, in particular to verify identity, to collect amounts, to monitor fraud and to manage any situations before, during and after the Rental Period.<\/p>\n PineRent4U may provide your personal data contained in the Rental Agreement and details of the performance of the obligations arising therefrom to third parties, such as law enforcement authorities, credit recovery agencies (including lawyers) and any other relevant organization.<\/p>\n In the event of default due to non-payment, PineRent4U may also, if you so consent at the end of these \u201cT&C’s\u201d, communicate your personal information to ARAC – Associa\u00e7\u00e3o dos Industriais de Aluguer de Autom\u00f3veis Sem Condutor, for the purposes of insertion in its file of defaulting customers, which may be accessible to any of its members to help them decide whether to accept you or any driver identified as a customer. Please note that the conclusion of the Rental Agreement is not dependent on your consent to the use, in any way, in databases of defaulting customers and your communication to ARAC of the personal data provided under this agreement. Our privacy policy is available at www.pinerent4u.com.<\/p>\n PineRent4U collects and processes data for the purpose of providing car rental services and for marketing purposes such as promotions and for the purposes of the customer loyalty program. You will be informed of any personal data to be collected by PineRent4U at the station or online by the indication of an asterisk *. Some of the recipients of the data collected may be located in countries where the legislation on personal data does not provide a level of protection equivalent to the standards of Portuguese law and the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD)<\/p>\n Please note that, under the terms of the law, you may have the right to access, rectify, oppose, limit and delete any data concerning you. The inclusion of a customer on such a List implies PineRent4U’s unavailability to make any reservation or rental under the respective account. The inclusion of an account on the Watch List may occur as a result of any of the following situations:<\/p>\n PineRent4U expressly informs you of the placement on the Watch List. You may only conclude new rental contracts with PineRent4U once your account has been removed from the Watch List, upon resolution of the underlying situation, according to the criteria internally defined by PineRent4U.<\/p>\n The Watchlist is produced and maintained by PineRent4U solely for internal customer management use, and such data will not be shared with external entities without prior authorization.<\/p>\n By accepting these \u201cT&Cs\u201d, you acknowledge that you have given your explicit consent to the aforementioned privacy policy. In order to maintain and protect the Vehicle and to prevent and detect criminal practices, PineRent4U may use electronic, geo-location devices to monitor the status, functionality and operability of the Vehicle and\/or to detect its movements. This information may be used during and after the Rental Period.<\/p>\n Under the terms of the Portuguese Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify and delete any data concerning you.
